Senior Retirement Plan Specialist (8205)
Position Overview: The Senior Retirement Plan Specialist serves as a subject matter expert on ERISA and employer-sponsored retirement plans, supporting financial advisors (FAs) and their clients across a range of business retirement plan matters. This role involves consultative services including plan design, vendor selection, regulatory updates, and product analysis to drive retirement plan business growth. The position requires advanced knowledge, strategic thinking, and strong relationship management skills, with frequent interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. The Specialist also mentors junior team members and assists with complex cases and high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a trusted resource on ERISA regulations and qualified retirement plans for financial advisors and their clients

Mentor and train junior Retirement Plan Marketing Specialists within the department

Manage multiple aspects of the retirement plan sales cycle including RFP responses, proposal creation, vendor evaluation, and follow-up activities

Collaborate with financial advisors on business development strategies to grow retirement plan business and ensure long-term client success

Respond to technical inquiries and provide solutions to complex retirement plan questions

Contribute to the development of marketing content and business development tools to support retirement plan growth

Monitor and communicate changes in the retirement plan industry, identifying new opportunities and regulatory impacts

Support vendor due diligence and provide insights into vendor capabilities

Lead and deliver training sessions to both new and experienced financial advisors
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field required

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in retirement plan consulting or related field

Series 7 license and ASPPA or other ERISA-related certifications required, or ability to obtain

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite

Deep understanding of qualified retirement plans, ERISA regulations, and plan administration

Strong sales and marketing acumen, including the ability to promote products and services effectively

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills for developing new ideas and solutions
